Vacation Bible School started today with about 45 enthusiastic children. We can learn a lot from children, in that they are absolutely unintimidated by language barriers, cultural differences or any of the things that separate us as adults. They descended upon the complex with great joy, played games with us, and taught us the Spanish words when we lacked the vocabulary. We learned that "Bombitas" are soap bubbles and beach balls are "balons (sort of like balloons)."Here, 13 year old Eduardo Phillipe shows Tricia Wilson and pastor Ben where his home is (using a beach ball globe), while we show him where our home is.
Here, the kids are in the arts center. Lew Wilson and Cindy Pardue helped with crafts.Below, children gather in the music center to learn songs.

Beach balls and a parachute means fun in any language.
