Day Four: Blessed by Angels!

To the good Saints back home in NWPC from Libby G. here in Ocosingo. Thank you, thank you for your good prayers. They are being answered in so many blessings in so many ways. We are loving reading your E Mails. Your words, humor and support are manna to our hungry hearts. Thank you. We are living the Good news of the Gospel among the people here at the Mission School. It is impossible to write down everything we are doing, everything we are experiencing, every blessing we are recieving! Sunday after a delicious supper where I introduced powdered peach tea to some of the host mission staff who are assigned to watch over us and protect us, the NWPC team went into Ocosingo to the center park beside a huge church to enjoy venders and people watching. Our guardian angels had a time watching over us! I found a book on the history of Chiapas, the state we are in, (150 pesos or $12.00). When it started to rain, our angels (one is named Michael!) gathered us up and put us into taxis to be brought back home. ($20 pesos or $2.00) per taxi. It took 6 taxis! Then I got on one of the computers which is set up in Spanish and got to Earthlink to get to my e-mail to send birthday greetings to my sister. Do I ever feel smug! Could not repeat that feat on Monday. It is tricky and getting through seems to be more grace than anything. So if you are getting e-mail messages, thank God. Work for Tuesday is over. Time for showers and lunch. First V.B.S. will be later this afternoon. The good stuff that has come out of our bags has been awesome. Oh, oh, our missing luggage has been found and delivered last night (Monday) Praise the Lord and prayers! So much more to tell. Back to you later. But gotta tell you that Penny is proud of work, mission, AND singing in worship. Ben is preaching awesome sermons at a moments notice which speak to our hosts and our hearts. Spiritual Gifts abound. God's Kingdom grows stronger! Peace and grace to you all. Libby G.
